I Can Share the Gospel

There are so many things to say about this mission trip to Spain, and I could go on for hours talking about experiences. I met so many people of different cultures, backgrounds, and faith. To hear their stories of why they were walking the Camino kept me entranced most of the time. I had this idea that I would be the one changing the life of one of the pilgrims. However, it seems it was me who was drastically changed in it all.

I have always had a deep fear of sharing the gospel because of the reaction I might receive from people. However, what I found was that many people are open to at least listening to what you have to say. God opened my eyes to the fact that I can, INDEED, share the gospel. The alternative is to stay quiet and miss that opportunity for God to speak through me and be a part of winning a soul to eternal life.

One of the best parts of the trip was getting to sit around a dinner table with people from all over the world and hear their stories of life and travels. The most surprising thing to hear was how many people quit their jobs to come walk for a month without any idea as to what they would do when they returned home. That step of faith for them, believing that they would discover their purpose on their walk, gave a great opportunity to share Christ and what it means to be a Christ follower; in turn, showing them how to let Christ guide their life.
